While the place was not spotless or classy by any means, it had an old fashioned rustic quality, Ive come to expect from a Fish Chips place. Right down to the quarter vending machines. Thats why the 5 stars for food, service, AND atmosphere.
I havent had H SALT since like forever! It was wonderful to find this gem! The flavor was just as I remembered back in the days! Will definitely visit again!
The fish and chips i had were delicious. Lightly coated with batter and hot, the fish were fillets and not that mushy stuff.. The fries were good as well. Stop by and check it out.
This place is just like the good tasting fish we use to have in upland . They are always so friendly and make us feel welcome. The zucchini is so tasty, and their jumbo shrimp is good, but their fish is what makes us drive so far for it. Its so delicious
Now heres a pretty wellhidden place in the Stater Brothers parking lot, off of Highland. If you like Long John Silvers you will love H Salt Fish Chips. I couldnt believe how fresh the battered fish was and how amazing the taste was. Another San Bernardino treat.
This is what fish chips are supposed to taste like. The batter is so light and crunchy! The owner offered to help me carry my order out to my car. So friendly and welcoming!

This place has some bomb fish and shrimps! The batter is so crunchy and they give you a decent serving! Prices are not bad at all. I feel like I stepped back into time ... its clean and old school! And they even have Air Conditioning, not a swamp cooler but actual AC! Well be back!
